I would like to know what's the model of the flash ram inside those receivers ?
I'm working on another project myself with a satellite dish receiver made by motorola for the canadian provider Star Choice it's very similar, electronically speaking , to a digital cable receiver the encoding is digicypher II, cpu is 68331, there's a bdm port inside and the flash ram is 2 megs Intel 28f160
videotron in quebec only support scientific atlanta

in my area they also only use scientific atlanta. cable company is brighthouse networks, so you're saying that the dct's will still work? of course, digital channels won't, since channel lineup would be all wrong, but you're saying that if someday editing the channel map and frequencies is doable, that you could get all channels, even if you're not suscribed?
