Hi all, ive been reading this fourm all day and night, this is new to me but im willing to learn. Now can i actually activate a motorola reciever or is this more for just wiping ppvs? or what? Just need a little help, not to bright here.

Just need a little help, not to bright here. well if you read the forum all day and night then you know the answer. you can connect the box, you won't get premium channels though and yes you can wipe ppv's. also this only applies to the 2224/2244 model boxes.

Thanks patsfan, thats what i thought, lets say you buy a box from someone that had premium channels, could you turn them back on? and you still have to have basic, right?

you will need a cable hookup to your house to get the signal. yes i beleive if the box had premium's before they will turn back on. but i'm pretty sure the box has to be from your area or cable company. adrianbv6 did dome testing of this a while ago and posted the results.
