I checked firmware 07.93. It does have DCT 1800 support. So I guess it uses the same software.

Thank you patsfan, this is unit comcast is hooking up to new subs in my area/minneapolis/ I'm not at all happy w/ DCT18/1700s. They don't have front panel controls (I'm more hands-on, that way). I like having an alternative to the remote. Direct access IMO is always better. Plus, the 2XXXs are stylistically more attractive, but, I digress.;D
