i have a box, which has a big silver box on the back of it with coax hook ups. Theres a sticker which says RF bypass. My question is if I have this big silver box, that has coax hook ups, which port to I hook up the cable to for no uplink...(is it still the RF IN PORT?)

there should be two screws that hold that metal can on. remove it and there should be the normal "4" coax inputs on the back.

no just depends on what the customer (cable company ordered from motorola. most come with a jumper, but they could be sent with metal can instead.

The metal can is for A/B select. Look at your DCT user manual. But first, you need to enable A/B select. (by your cable company or NVRAM setting I believe). I have three of them.
