After doing a lot of reading, I have one simple question that has been baffling me.
My provider, Insight, has the ability to order via remote, etc etc. The question is, almost all of their PPV lineup is feed via their "on demand" ordering system. There are a few chans that allow for "tune to chan 500, press OK to order" type setup, but 99% of it is "tune to chan 100, navigate menu, order wht you wanna watch, you can pause, etc". The On-Demand PPV service is available to all digital subs, of course.
Will this work with On-Demand services? If so, Is there a difference between the two in regards to clearing the PPV data?
Thanks folks! -JS

ondemand is a 2way application. i would say you are out of luck. the box would need to be able to talk back to the video server to request which movie it wants. i would assume it would bill you at the same time so there wouldn't be a purchase to clear. we don't have ondemand here yet, it's coming in september.

it cannot be done yet untill channel activation can be done afther sucesfullly open all the channels then you will problay see progress on the ONdemand it can be done but only with custom firmware and no point of making one now since we all cant find how to open the channels. if you have guts to buy from cablewire.tv/digital.html then buy and if that box has a custom made program that realy works then we can work things out
